Forest land for sale – Laby, 45.954 m²

We offer for sale a set of forest lands with a total area of ​​45,954 m² in the cadastral territory of the municipality of Laby, located in the Benešov district in the Central Bohemian region. The set of lands includes a diverse composition of forest stands in various stages of growth, which makes it an ideal choice for management and use, for example, for the annual supply of firewood. In terms of age, the stands can be divided as follows:

• Younger stands aged 7–10 years, which are characterized by high stumpage, i.e. there is a very dense stand and is dominated mainly by oaks in conjunction with birch, aspen and other trees, which are supplemented by spruces planted ten years ago. These trees have an average trunk thickness of between 3 and 4 cm and reach a height of 2 to 4 meters.

• Medium-aged stands aged 20–54 years, dominated by spruce and pine with average trunk thicknesses of 16–31 cm and heights of 17–28 m. These stands are already fully usable and provide stable conditions for current timber harvesting. Each tree with a wood volume of approximately 1 m³ represents an excellent opportunity for harvesting high-quality wood that can be used for various purposes.

• Older stands aged 54–99 years, dominated by pine along with oak, hornbeam and spruce. This stand contains strong trees with average trunk thicknesses of around 40 cm and heights of up to 28 m. Parts of these lands are therefore ideal for harvesting.

All the plots of land for sale are interesting and somewhat specific:

• Plot No. 217, where about 80-year-old hornbeams grow, can be used for the extraction of hardwood, which is ideal for heating in fireplaces or for smoking.

• Plot No. 423 offers quality wood for similar purposes.

• Plot No. 343 with robust oaks is very suitable for the extraction of this quality hardwood, which represents a valuable source of wood for the construction and furniture industries in combination with mining residues that can be used again for heating.

• Plot 555 can be used, for example, on its southern edge to build a house and thus have the opportunity to observe the beautiful nature of the Blaník Protected Landscape Area undisturbed.

The overall composition of tree species, the age structure of the stands and the area of ​​these forest lands make this set very suitable for farming. The annual increment of wood on these areas is sufficient for annual logging for use at your own discretion and will provide a regular supply of this renewable resource.

We recommend an inspection of the listed plots and checking the wood stock, which may vary depending on the method of use and measurement. According to the National Forestry Institute, the stock on the plots being sold is around 460 m³. Forest lands are also of high value in this Blaník Protected Landscape Area due to the provision of non-productive forest functions, which will be compensated to the owners in the future in the form of transfers.
